Workplace Wellbeing Research – Closes 18th April

Mar 2nd, 2021 | By | Category: News

Dear colleague,

In partnership with Education Support, we invite you to take part in a research study on workplace wellbeing needs in higher education. Please read this letter from Education Support’s CEO for more information about the research. The results will be used by Education Support to inform their support services, and by UCU to support our health and safety campaigning.

As reported in the Guardian, UCU’s own research has shown how the Covid-19 pandemic has magnified existing stress and workload issues. More than 4 in 5 members report that their mental wellbeing has been negatively impacted by increased workload, and almost half of members report that they are a lot more stressed due to changes to working practices. Women, BAME and disabled members have all been disproportionately affected.

Members sharing their experiences via surveys strengthens our campaigns and negotiations.

We appreciate your support with this research and invite you to complete Education Support’s wellbeing survey by following this link.

The survey will close on 18 April 2021.

Many thanks,

Paul Bridge
UCU head of higher education
