Dear colleague,

Thank you to all those who have voted so far in the consultative ballot on the employers’ final offer, which closes on at 12 noon on Tuesday 23 February 2021.

Dear colleague,

You will soon receive an email issued by the independent scrutineer Civica (formerly ERS – Electoral Reform Services) containing your voting link for the consultative e-ballot on the UCEA final offer for 2020/21.

The email subject line will be ‘UCU consultative ballot on UCEA final offer 2020/21’ and the sender will be ‘takepart@cesvotes.com’. You are advised to add the cesvotes.com and ucu.org.uk domains to your safe or approved senders list, and to check your spam or junk folders if the email does not arrive.

It is recommended that you vote to reject the final offer as it falls far short of the claim. Detailed information on the claim and the dispute is available here.

The consultative ballot will close on 23 February. The union’s higher education committee (HEC) then meets on 26 February to decide what happens next, including active consideration of a statutory ballot for industrial action.

This ballot allows you to have your say on the next steps UCU should take in this dispute and your voice is essential. Please do use your vote.
