Stop redundancies at University of Leeds
Branches are asked to sign and circulate this petition. In the middle of the Covid-19 global crisis, Leeds University management is refusing to rule out compulsory redundancies in departments working to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic: the school of medicine (SoM) and the faculty of biological sciences (FBS).

Save London weighting – proposed cuts to teaching grant in London
The Westminster government has recently announced cuts to the teaching grant in London and the removal of London weighting for institutions in the capital. UCU are campaigning against the decision and yesterday, UCU London regional official Barry Jones wrote to HE members in London encouraging them to write to their local MP calling for the cuts to be reversed.

Support striking colleagues: donate to the UCU fighting fund

Colleagues who can afford to do so are asked to consider a donation to the UCU fighting fund. The link is here and donations to the fund are spent on supporting members involved in important disputes. As always, members are asked to contribute whatever their circumstances allow. A donation in solidarity of any amount will be gratefully received by members taking action.

Best regards
