Our UCU Stirling Branch Hardship Fund is now in operation

Oct 2nd, 2019 | By | Category: Further information

The first tranche of our UCU Stirling Branch Hardship Fund has been allocated to members suffering real hardship during the strike, due to the docking of their pay.

If you would like to claim from the second tranche of the fund, please, initially, write to Pam (pmcgibbon2@stir.ac.uk) explaining briefly why you wish to claim, and you will be sent a form to fill in and to return with your payslips showing the amount of pay that was deducted. You will only be able to claim for the amount that was deducted and not for any other expenses. However, we would ask that you submit a claim to the main UCU Fightlng Fund first and then claim from our Hardship Fund if the Fighting Fund does not pay the full amount claimed.

If you wish to donate to the fund, we can accept cheques, cash or BACS payments, preferably the latter. Please send cheques to the Union Office, Cottrell 3A42, made out to UCU STIRLING UNIVERSITY LA072 HARDSHIP FUND. If you would like to donate cash, please bring it to the Union Office on either Tuesdays or Wednesday afternoons, and you will be given a receipt. If you would like to donate by BACS, details are below. If you do send a donation by BACS it would be appreciated if you could let Pam (pmcgibbon2@ucu.org.uk) know, including the amount.
